History and origins of darts

The game originated in England when soldiers threw arrows into tree trunks using natural targets. Over time, the game moved into pubs. The first targets were made from tree trunks with natural rings. In the 19th century, the first official rules began to form, which helped standardize the game.

Dartboard

A standard dartboard has a diameter of 45 cm and is divided into sectors, each numbered from 1 to 20. The target material usually consists of sisal or synthetic material. The center circle consists of two parts: an outer circle worth 25 points and an inner circle worth 50 points.

Darts set

The right kit for the game includes several elements. First, it is a standard dart board that must be properly set up. Second, the kit includes three darts, usually made of metal or plastic.

How to count darts scores?

The basic rules are that points are awarded for hitting different sectors of the target. The center circle is worth 50 points for hitting the center and 25 points for hitting the outer circle. Double and triple sectors multiply the sector value by 2 or 3 respectively. An accurate hit in the double sector is required to complete the game.
